Education CSM 2012 Scoliosis Continuing Education www.sdwpt.com or www.scoliosisrehab.com The C-1 Schroth Scoliosis course through BSPTS provides explanation of anatomy, etiology, examination, and treatment of scoliosis according to the principles of Schroth. Participants will learn to recognize and treat different scoliosis curve patterns and receive introduction to bracing principles. Course includes lectures, lab, and live patient demonstration. Certification exam is given on last day. Course size limited – register early. Mobile Electrode Technique (MET) and Electrical Stimulation to Enhance Rehabilitation Outcomes Go beyond traditional electrical stimulation with this one day hands on course. This unique e-stim treatment approach is user and patient friendly. The course offers protocols for multiple rehabilitation applications. The “Mobile Electrode Technique”(MET) is a moveable e-stim application that brings much more flexibility to treatment compared to the static limitations of traditional e-stim. It’s simple and precise. MET will be discussed, demonstrated and practiced as a means to enhance clinical applications in which e-stim is integrated for therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, patient education and other therapeutic interventions. This technique allows the clinician to integrate e-stim; for more types of therapeutic interventions and for a wider range of patients. Note: Bring appropriate clothing for labs (shorts, short sleeve shirt, etc) 2012 Spring Meeting PT 2012: Annual Conference & Expo 2012 Fall Meeting 2013 Spring Meeting 2013 Fall Meeting
